by Ernelyn Jimenez
“..we should be grateful to our Lord. We should touch the soil.”, Rev. Fr. Belstar O. Ediang’s uplifting message.
Saint Columban College employees along with one goal, to take care of the Mother earth conducted its annual tree planting last July 13 at Barangay Banale, Pagadian City.
Sr. Ammie R. Adoremos,CB started the activity with a catecheses then a gospel reading about the Parable of the Sower was shared by Dr. Gilbert Celesio and was followed by the blessing of the fruit seedlings by Rev. Fr. Belstar O. Ediang.
The SCC Kadugtong-Community Involvement Program covers one of the SCC core values – the taking care of Mother Earth. It is intended to stop soil erosion, restore the beauty of the surroundings and to show greener Earth in the future generations.
Each employee brought and planted a fruit seedling with smiles, hopes and prayers for a restored planet.
